Job Description
JCL is currently accepting resumes for Traffic Control Personnel for various projects on the Northern Peninsula
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand site-specific instructions prior to directing traffic.
• Review the work site daily and consult with Supervisor to understand work being conducted, and any potential hazards.
• Protect workers and the public by properly directing traffic
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of project signage and barricades,
• Communicate effectively with other traffic control workers using established signals and communication equipment
• Always maintain attentiveness
• Must ensure a firm understanding of and comply with the principles of the company’s Health and Safety Policies
• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and be prepared for any type of weather throughout the day
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Valid TCP 1 or TCP 2 Training Certificate
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Previous experience working on Heavy Civil Construction site an asset
• Other required safety training will be provided.
