Route 436 renovations, L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site

This renovation project focused on Highway 436 leading to L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, with the goal of improving infrastructure access to this culturally significant location. The work included pulverization of approximately 33,875 square metres of existing asphalt, followed by extensive excavation, trenching, and backfilling totaling around 9,160 cubic metres. Approximately 4,500 tonnes of hot mix asphalt concrete were placed to create a new, durable road surface. The project also involved the supply and placement of roughly 13,000 tonnes of Granular A and B materials. In addition, 200 metres of existing guiderail were removed and replaced with new W-Beam guiderail, and approximately 318 metres of existing culverts were excavated, removed, and replaced to improve drainage. These upgrades provide a safer, more reliable route for visitors while supporting the preservation and accessibility of this nationally treasured site.

Pave Route 520 from Edmonton St. towards North West River

This project involved the supply and placement of approximately 3,000 tonnes of hot mix asphalt concrete to resurface a 3-kilometre section of roadway. Prior to paving, a tack coat was applied to the existing asphalt surface to ensure proper adhesion. The scope also included the supply and installation of approximately 137 metres of guide rails to enhance roadside safety. Additionally, Granular A and B materials were supplied and placed as required to establish a solid and stable foundation. This project improved the structural integrity and safety of the roadway while supporting long-term durability.
